SAINTS’ ZIMMERMAN AWARDED PITCHER OF THE MONTH

MOORHEAD, MN.- The official statistician of the American Association, Pointstreak, has announced that St. Paul Saints’ RHP Ryan Zimmerman has been named the league’s Rawlings Pitcher of the Month for the month of July.

Over the past month, Zimmerman has been instrumental in the Saints’ playoff push, going 3-1 with a 2.43 ERA over the past 37 innings pitched. The righty also struck out the second-most of any American Association in July, fanning 41.

The 23-year-old began his professional career with St. Paul in 2018 after playing collegiately for the Division III St. Thomas Tommies. So far in 2019, Zimmerman is 4-2 with a 3.48 ERA and 71 strikeouts over 72.1 innings pitched.
