REDHAWKS RALLY FOR ROAD WIN

Fargo-Moorhead 9, Kansas City 5- Box

The RedHawks rallied with five runs over the last two innings to take a matinee win in Kansas City with 5, 412 fans in attendance at Community America Ballpark. RF Joe Dunigan (pictured) tripled in the tying run in the eighth, and came around to score when LF Chad Mozingo singled. DH Stefan Gartrell hit a two-run home run in the ninth, and Dunigan added one more run with an RBI double.

3B Joe Bonfe and CF Drew Muren had three hits each for Fargo-Moorhead, and Dunigan’s four RBI led the way.

SS Vladamir Frias had a 2-for-4 game for Kansas City.

RHP Paul Raglione worked a scoreless inning of relief to earn the win, striking out two. The save went to RHP Ty Kelley, who struck out a batter in 1.1 innings.

 

Sioux Falls 9, Grand Prairie 1- Box

The Canaries’ offense exploded late in the game to bury the visiting AirHogs in front of 3,465 at the Birdcage in Sioux Falls. 1B Edwin Gomez hit a three-run home run in the eighth inning, part of a four-run frame. RF Vickash Ramjit hit a two-run blast in the seventh, part of a three-homer day for Sioux Falls. All nine Canaries starters had a hit in the game, with 3B R.J. Perucki leading the way with his 3-for-4 day. Ramjit and Gomez had three RBI each.

Grand Prairie mustered only three hits, including a double by C Zane Chavez.

LHP Joe Bircher worked 6.2 innings for Sioux Falls, striking out five en route to the win.
