Cleburne 5, Milwaukee 3 (11 Innings) – Box Score
The Cleburne Railroaders (2-2) plated a pair of runs in the top of the 11th inning to edge the Milwaukee Milkmen 5-3 on Monday night at Franklin Field.
The Milkmen (2-2) struck first on the night as 3B Logan Trowbridge scored on a sac fly from RF Chad Sedio in the bottom of the first and the home team added to that lead in the third when 1B Correlle Prime (2-for-4) lifted a sac fly to pave the way for Trowbridge again. In the fourth, RF Hunter Wolfe put the Railroaders on the board with an RBI ground rule double and Cleburne tied the score in the next frame with a lead-off homer from LF Jordan Wiley.
The score remained tied at 2-2 until the top of the 10th inning when 3B Chase Simpson scored on a DH Cesar Trejo fielder’s choice but the home team matched that run in the bottom of the frame as SS Mason Davis scored on a wild pitch.
In the top of the 11th, 1B Matt Morgan scored after a SS Nick Shumpert single and Wolfe scored as CF Zach Nehrir singled to right to take a 5-3 lead. Reliever Ryan Moseley struck out the side in order in the bottom of the 11th to seal the victory. Moseley picked up the win for his two innings of hitless work that included five Ks.
