Lincoln 12, Kansas City 4
Trailing 2-1 after five innings, the Lincoln Saltdogs erupted for 11 runs over the next three innings and would roll to a 12-4 victory over the Kansas City T-Bones. Lincoln 3B Mike Provencher led the offensive charge going 2-for-4 with a triple, two runs scored and two RBI. Saltdogs DH Tyler Goodro chipped in with two hits, both doubles, a run scored and three RBI. Lincoln starting pitcher Pete Parise tossed a complete game allowing four earned runs on nine hits with a walk and four strikeouts. With the win, Parise is now 3-2 on the season. For Kansas City in defeat, RF Ray Sadler went 1-for-3 and launched his seventh home run of the season.
Laredo 2, El Paso 1
Laredo DH Palmer Karr hit a solo home run in the seventh inning to break a 1-1 tie and lift the Lemurs to a 2-1 win over the El Paso Diablos. The home run by Karr was one of only three hits for Laredo but it proved to be the difference in the game. Lemurs reliever Bradley Blanks notched the victory as he threw 1 1/3 innings of shutout baseball and fanned two batters. Blanks is now a perfect 3-0 on the season. For El Paso, eight of the nine batters in their lineup had at least a hit but could only push one run across in the game.
