Puerto Rican RHP Raul Rivera (Winnipeg Goldeyes) made his first appearance at the Pan-Am Games in his team’s 12-6 win over the Dominican Republic on Tuesday. Rivera tossed a scoreless inning, picking up a strikeout.
Team Canada remained undefeated with a 3-1 win over Cuba. Sioux City Explorers players Brock Kjeldgaard and Rene Tosoni were both in the lineup, but neither collected a hit.
