The torrid bat 1B John Nogowski showed during his five weeks in Sioux City early this season has carried over to the 24-year-old’s first few at-bats in the Arizona Fall League.
Nogowski cracked three doubles–one per game appearance–among his four hits in his first 10 official times at the plate, and with two walks he has a .500 on-base percentage. He has driven in one run.
The Florida State product ripped American Association pitching at a .402 clip for 34 games with the Explorers before St. Louis bought his contract and sent him to Double-A where he hit .295 with 12 doubles, two homers and 21 RBI in 59 games for Springfield.
