Milwaukee Milkmen 3, Houston Apollos 2 – Box Score

Milwaukee escaped with a home 3-2 win over the Houston Apollos in Milwaukee Saturday evening.

A two-run home run by Christian Correa lifted Milwakuee (28-19).  Aaron Hill added one hit and one RBI. Logan Trowbridge, Trey Martin and Tony Rosselli picked up one base hit. 

Ian Yetsko tallied two hits and two RBI for the Apollos (7-40). Aaron Takacs added a pair of hits and Jordan Pontious one hit. 

Myles Smith struck out four batters over six innings for the win for the Milkmen. Ryan Boyer picked up the save, pitching one inning. Abdallah Aris struck out nine and took the loss for the Apollos. 

 

Winnipeg Goldeyes 8, Gary SouthShore RailCats 2 – Box Score

A three hit day by Kyle Martin led Winnipeg to an 8-2 win over Gary SouthShore Saturday night in Winnipeg.

Martin tallied three hits and two RBI for Winnipeg (22-24). Max Murphy added two hits and two RBI. Kevin Lachance and Logan Hill added a pair of base hits. Raul Navarro, Dakota Conners and Sonny Ulliana added one hit each. 

Thomas Walraven went 2-for-3 to lead Gary SouthShore (21-27). Hayden Schilling, Raymond Jones and Tommy McCarthy picked up one hit each. 

Greg Harris picked up the win for Winnipeg, pitching five innings. Josh Vincent took the loss, pitching seven innings.

 

Chicago Dogs 13, Sioux Falls Canaries 10 – Box Score

Five RBI for Michael Crouse led Chicago to a 13-10 win over Sioux Falls Saturday night in Sioux Falls.

Crouse picked up three hits and five RBI for Chicago (30-18). Brennan Metzger, Anfernee Grier and Danny Mars tallied three hits each. Metzger added three RBI and Mars two. T.J. Bennett and Harrison Smith picked up two hits apiece. Johnny Adams tallied one hit. 

Nick Gotta tallied three hits and four RBI for Sioux Falls. Angelo Altavilla contributed three hits. Wyatt Ulrich, Cade Gotta and Troy Alexander added two hits apiece. Shamoy Christopher drove in three runs. 

Jake Dahlberg took the win, pitching 5 ⅓ innings and striking out eight batters for Chicago. Cam Booser picked up the save, striking out three batters in his one inning. John Straka took the loss for Sioux Falls.

 

Lincoln Saltdogs 9, Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks 7 – Box Score

A three RBI day for Edgar Corcino led Lincoln to a 9-7 win over Fargo-Moorhead in Lincoln Saturday night. 

Corcino tallied two hits and three RBI for Lincoln (23-24). Justin Byrd, Josh Altmann and Ryan Long tallied two hits each. Yanio Perez, Curt Smith, David Vidal and Skyler Weber added one hit each. 

John Silviano and Sam Dexter tallied three hits each for Fargo-Moorhead (27-22). Correlle Prime, Kevin Krause, Jordan George and Manuel Boscan  added a pair of hits each. Krause drove in two runs. 

Josh Norwood  earned the win for Lincoln. James Pugliese recorded the save over 1 ⅔ innings. Bret Helton took the loss for Fargo-Moorhead, striking out seven over five innings.

 

Kansas City Monarchs 8, Sioux City Explorers 3 – Box Score 

Darnell Sweeney  went 3-for-4 with three RBI to lead Kansas City to an 8-3 win over Sioux City Saturday night.

Ryan Grotjohn and Morgan McCullough  added one hit and two RBI each for the Monarchs (29-18). Gabriel Guerrero, Casey Gillaspie, Charcer Burks and Nick Franklin added one hit each.

Blake Tiberi tallied two hits for Sioux City (28-20). Lane Milligan picked up one hit and two RBI. L.T. Tolbert, Chris Clare, Sebastian Zawada and Mitch Ghelfi added one hit apiece.

Jose Taveras picked up the win for Kansas City, pitching five innings. Brett Adcock took the loss for Sioux City.
