The Monarchs’ slow start to the season is long gone as they are arguably the hottest team in the Association right now. 8-2 in its last 10 games, Kansas City completed a sweep of Cleburne at home over the weekend and the offense continues to shine, sporting the league’s second highest batting average at .281 and second-highest OPS at .830. Chris Hermann continues to hit at a Player of the Year level as well, leading the league with a .419 average, 30 RBI and tying for second with eight home runs.
