Winnipeg 4, Rockland 3

The Winnipeg Goldeyes used a great outing from starting pitcher Edgar Osuna to top the Rockland Boulders, 4-3. The Boulders would score three runs on three pitchers in the eighth inning but fall short of the comeback.

Osuna threw seven shutout innings while allowing just two hits and one walk. He struck out five batters in the process while picking up his first win of the season.

The middle of the lineup did the damage for Winnipeg with the 5, 6, and 7 batters each scoring a run. Leadoff man and centerfielder Tyler Graham, picked up the other run and tallied a hit as well.

St. Paul 4, Grand Prairie 0

Mark Hamburger threw a complete game shutout to lead the St. Paul Saints to an easy 4-0 victory.

In Hamburger’s excellent start he only allowed five baserunners on three hits and two walks. He struck out four batters and grabbed his fourth win of the season.

The first two batters did well at the plate to back up Hamburger’s bid. Leadoff hitter and shortstop Adam Frost went 2-5 with a run and an RBI, while 3B Joey Becker went 1-4 with a run and an RBI out of the two-hole.

Fargo-Moorhead 5, Sioux City 4

In a back and forth game, the Fargo Moorhead RedHawks came out on top after a single run in the top of the ninth inning to top the Sioux City Explorers 5-4.

3B Ronnie Bourquin and CF Buddy Sosnoskie both hit their seventh homeruns of the season in the game and went a combined 3-9. Bourquin scored once and drove in two runs while Sosnoskie scored twice and drove in one.

Joe Harris and Danny Guitierrez did excellent jobs in relief, with Harris picking up the win and Guitierrez taking the save. Harris threw two shutout innings while Guitierrez threw one of his own.

Sioux Falls 9, Gary SouthShore 3

The Sioux Falls Canaries tripled up the Gary SouthShore RailCats to win 9-3 on 14 hits.

All but one batter in the Sioux Falls lineup recorded hits on the night with DH Tim Pahuta leading the way with a 2-4 night. Both of his hits were homeruns, and he drove in five runs and scored twice.

Ben Moore had a great start for the Canaries while picking up his seventh win of the season. In his 6.1 innings he allowed just one run on four hits while striking out seven batters.

Kansas City 14, Amarillo 13

The Kansas City T-Bones got the better of the Amarillo Sox in a 14-13 slug-fest. The two teams combined for 30 hits on the night.

CF Kennard Jones and 3B Matt Padgett led the team with three hits apiece. Jones went 3-6 with a homerun, two RBI’s and three runs scored. Padgett doubled and went 3-5 with a run scored and three driven in.

Relief pitcher Sean Toler got the win for the T-Bones after throwing a three run (two earned) seventh inning.

Lincoln 5, Wichita 1

The Saltdogs put up four runs in the top of the third inning against the Wichita Wingnuts and one more for good measure in the ninth. Wichita could only manage one the whole night, falling to Lincoln 5-1.

3B Curt Smith led the Saltdogs with a 2-4 night at the plate that included a double.

Starter Pete Parise threw 7 innings to grab the win while striking out four batters and walking one. He only gave up one run.

Laredo 7, El Paso 3

The Laredo Lemurs went into the ninth inning with a slim lead on the Diablos but scored four times to put the game out of reach and win 7-3.

Michael Suk threw six solid innings and allowed just one run to get the decision. He fanned six batters and walked just one.

LF Sawyer Carroll and 1B John Alonso paced the Lemurs with 1-3 and 1-5 nights respectively. While each batter only got a single hit apiece, they combined for three runs, two RBI’s and two walks while recording zero strikeouts.
