GOLDEYES DOUBLE UP CANARIES

Hearther

Winnipeg 12, Sioux Falls 6 

CF Reggie Abercrombie hit his 17th home run of the season as the Goldeyes doubled up the Canaries. 2B Brock Bond, SS Tyler Kuhn and 1B Casey Hearther (pictured) all had three hits, with Hearther driving in three runs and picking up his 29th double. DH Jake Blackwood was 2-for-4 and drove in three.

RF Steven Tinoco had three hits for the Canaries in the loss.

RHP Matthew Jackson struck out four in five innings for the win.

Fargo-Moorhead 11, Sioux City 2

With five runs in the last two innings, the RedHawks blew open the game to beat the Explorers. DH Sawyer Carroll was 4-for-5 for the RedHawks, while C Travis Higgs was 2-for-3 with a home run and four RBI. 2B CJ Retherford also went 3-for-4. LF Oscar Mesa and DH Brock Kjeldgaard had two hits each for Sioux City.

All-Star LHP Jake Laber struck out eight in seven innings to earn the win for Fargo.

Gary SouthShore 9, Kansas City 2

The RailCats scored eight runs in the first two innings and went on to win over the T-Bones at US Steel Yard. 2B Zac Mitchell hit a two-RBI triple in the bottom of the second, a five-run frame for the RailCats. He finished 2-for-4 on the game. Newly-acquired DH Henry Wrigley was 3-for-4 in the game as well. CF Drew Muren was 2-for-4 with two RBI and a double.

1B Matt Padgett was 2-for-3 with a double for Kansas City.

Dustin Crenshaw struck out six in six and 2/3 innings to earn the win.

Lincoln 9, St. Paul 7

1B Ian Gac hit his 22nd home run of the season in the first inning and the Saltdogs went on to beat the Saints at Haymarket Park. Four more Lincoln runs scored in the third and 3B Brandon Pinckney hit a two-RBI double in a three-run seventh. Gac, DH Chad Mozingo, LF Matt Forgatch, and SS Mike Gilmartin had two hits each. 2B Jake Taylor and 1B Keith Brachhold had two hits each for St. Paul.

Trey Barham earned the win in relief and RHP Marshall Schuler saved the game.

Grand Prairie 5, Amarillo 3

1B Jason Botts scored on an infield single from LF Ryan Gasporra in the eighth inning and CF Eric Baker scored on an error in the ninth to break a 3-3 tie. SS Miguel Castano had two hits in the win for the AirHogs. 2B Geraldo Valentin had two hits for the Sox in the loss. TJ Bozeman struck out seven in seven innings to earn the win, and LHP Alex Hinshaw got the save with three strikeouts.

Laredo 6, Wichita 2

The Lemurs plated two runs in each of the first three innings, including a two-run home run from RF Denis Phipps in the first. SS Devin Goodwin had three hits for Laredo. 2B Abel Nieves and C Brent Dean had two hits and an RBI each for the Wingnuts.

RHP Josh Strawn struck out five in six and 2/3 innings to get the win.
