GLASSER’S HOME RUN GUIDES BLASTERS PAST T-BONES

Joplin 2B Mitch Glasser’s solo home run in the top of the ninth pushed the Blasters past the Kansas City T-Bones 5-4. Glasser went 3-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored to lead the offense. Reliever Victor Capellan picked up the win on the mound throwing 1.2 scoreless innings, striking out two batters.

Trailing 4-2 entering the seventh inning, an RBI double from T-Bones’ SS Vladimir Frias in the bottom of the frame followed by pinch hitter Brett Wiley’s RBI sacrifice fly in the eighth inning, tied the game 4-4. For Kansas City, Frias, 3B Brandon Tierney and RF Dalton Wheat each recorded three hits.
