AIRHOGS’ SEARLE LEADS ABL IN STRIKEOUTS

Australian Baseball League hitters haven’t had much luck against Brisbane Bandits RHP Ryan Searle (pictured, Grand Prairie ’14) so far this season, as he leads the ABL with 31 strikeouts in 25.2 innings pitched so far this season. The native of Canberra, Australia, is 2-0 with one save a 2.81 ERA in six outings for the Bandits, who are currently 8-8 and in fourth place in the six-team league.

Adelaide Bite
RHP Morgan Coombs (Gary) is 2-1 with a 4.66 ERA, and is tied for the team lead with 21 strikeouts.
C Craig Maddox (Gary) has started the season on a tear, leading the league with a .444 batting average to go along with three home runs, six doubles and nine RBI.

Brisbane Bandits
RHP Justin Erasmus (Fargo-Moorhead) has been strong in relief for Brisbane, assembling a 3.98 ERA and striking out 20 hitters in 21 innings pitched.
RHP Jason Jarvis (Grand Prairie) has made five appearances out of the bullpen, registering no decisions and a 4.00 ERA.

Canberra Cavalry
RHP Dustin Crenshaw (Gary) is tied for the team lead with two saves to go along with 11 strikeouts in nine innings pitched out of the bullpen.
