AA ALUM SCHERZER THROWS NO-NO

Scherzer

Former American Association pitcher Max Scherzer (Fort Worth 2007) threw the second no-hitter in Major League Baseball in 2015 today with the Washington Nationals in a 6-0 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates. Scherzer carried a perfect game through 26 batters, but hit Jose Tabata with two outs in the ninth. He was able to retire the next hitter to preserve his first career no-no.
