Durham, N.C. — The contract of Lincoln Saltdogs RHP Jacob Condra-Bogan has been purchased by the Kansas City Royals organization, the American Association announced Monday. Condra-Bogan was acquired by Lincoln from the Washington Wild Things of the Frontier League in November in exchange for a player to be named later.

Condra-Bogan was superb with Washington in 2017, his first professional season, making 11 relief appearances and allowing just two earned runs on 10 hits in 15.1 innings of work, fanning 15 hitters.

Previously, the Duncan, S.C., native had been chosen in the 32nd round of the 2017 draft by the Toronto Blue Jays out of Georgia Southern University, but did not sign. Condra-Bogan played his senior year at Georgia Southern after spending his first three college seasons at Wofford (S.C.). Over his four-year collegiate career, he struck out 171 batters in 184 innings.
