⚾️ Breaking Down W.A.R. Statistics #InsideTheAssociation

“Inside The Association: Advanced Stats” is a new series being brought to life by Winnipeg Goldeyes Broadcaster Steve Schuster (@growcasting) and American Association Insider Carter Woodiel (@CarterWoodiel) focused on the advanced statistics that are happening on the field #InsideTheAssociation.

EP 3 is an in-depth discussion about W.A.R. (Wins Above Replacement) for both position players and pitchers. W.A.R. measures a player’s value in all facets of the game by deciphering how many more wins he’s worth than a replacement-level player at the same position. It’s a leading indicator of a player’s value to a team and in aggregate a leading indicator of the probable success of a team over the course of a season.
